Mike Begs is the Supervisor of the City of Glencoe’s Streets Department. Mike graduated from Glencoe High School in 1988 and attended Gadsden State Community College. Mike worked as a CNC Operator/Programmer for thirteen years. He also worked for the City of Gadsden as a Heavy Equipment Operator for three years. As Supervisor of the Streets Department, Mike oversees all street maintenance projects, including road patching, street striping and road sign applications, right of way mowing and brush removal.
He and his team work hard to accomplish the Street Department’s mission statement:
“To provide safe traveling conditions for everyone traveling in the City of Glencoe either every day or just passing through.”
Mike has been married to his wife, Suzanne for twenty years. They live in Hokes Bluff with their son, Taylor, who graduated from Glencoe High School and currently attends Gadsden State Community College.
